1: Create a Backup Folder
For XP:
1. Right click on My Computer on your desktop, select
Explore.
2. Click on Local Disk (C).
3. At the top do File > New > Folder.
4. In the right window, at the bottom you will see New
Folder, highlighted, surrounded by white.
5. Type over New Folder with BT Backup and press enter.
For Vista or Windows 7:
1. Click Start, lower left. Right click on Computer,
click Explore.
2. Click on Local Disk (C)
3. At the top do File > New > Folder
4. In the right window, at the bottom you will see New
Folder, highlighted, surrounded by white.
5. Type over New Folder with BT Backup and press enter.

Step
2: Backup
1. Doubleclick on Backup BTPro Database icon
on your desktop.
2. Compacting database will run, wait for it to finish.
3. A message will appear asking you to make sure all
installations of BookTrakker are closed. Make sure they
are and click OK. If not click Cancel and close them, then
repeat step 1.
4. Set Backup Destination appears. The Temp folder below
the C drive should be highlighted.
5. Doubleclick on the open yellow C folder. This will
display folders under C.
6. You should see BT Backup in the list.
7. Doubleclick on BT Backup and click OK.
8. Processing files will be the next message, then OK.
Click OK and you are done. |
